As a third-year Computer Engineering student at McMaster University, I am eager to gain hands-on experience in my field, where I can apply the technical skills I've honed through coursework and projects in a meaningful and impactful way. I am driven by the opportunity to contribute to projects that positively influence users and enhance their experience.I had the opportunity to work as a Computer Research Engineer at McMaster's Estimation, Tracking, and Fusion Laboratory, where I developed a Vehicle Simulator supporting Multipath Radar Tracking and Target Clustering research. This simulator generated and displayed test scenarios and sample data, playing a critical role in advancing the lab's research. It provided users with full control over scenario visualization and data selection, enabling more precise analysis and furthering research objectives.Throughout my internship and studies at McMaster University, I have developed a range of technical and collaborative skills, including:- Hardware design and implementation using microcontrollers, FPGAs, Arduinos, and circuit components such as MOSFETs, BJTs, resistors, sensors, motor drivers, and op-amps- Hardware programming with tools like Quartus and Keil uVision, utilizing languages such as Verilog, C/C++, and Assembly- Hardware simulation and measuring circuit characteristics with the Analog Discovery and applications like PSpice, LTSpice, and Waveforms- Ability to utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, C/C++, MATLAB, and Simulink- Effective use of Git for collaboration, adhering to best practices in web development- Strong time management and task completion skills, both independently and within teams- A proven ability to quickly learn and solve problems efficiently- Leadership experience in group settings, driving team collaboration and goal achievementI am currently enrolled in courses such as Digital Systems Design, Signals and Systems, Electronics and Devices II, and Software Development to deepen my knowledge of hardware design, implementation, and software development processes.
