Smart Building Light under Prof. Antoine Delley:The College of Engineering and Architecture of Fribourg (HEIA-FR) of University of AppliedSciences of Western Switzerland had collaborated with companies Energiebüro Grossenbacherand Infoteam SA, and developed a new control concept for energy efficiency in buildings, calledSmart Building. Most of the heating systems in Switzerland is based on hot water circulating in theradiator pipes in the rooms. The project objective was to develop a system capable of acting uponthe existing regulation to make the heating of the building more efficient while reducing energyexpenditure.My responsibilities included:• Built and tested the prototype to demonstrate the feasibility of the system.• Designed the sensor circuit for Smart building module connected to the ADC interface considering the minima and maxima on the voltages and resistance.• Devised detailed PCB circuit and layout emphasizing on power sources, CPU unit, peripherals, sensor circuits with complete routing and soldered all the components on the board.
