Leading the Reporting and Planning team across BAE Systems Australia- Leading a team of 12 to provide Australia monthly reporting, budgets and 5 year integrated business plans for the BAE Systems Australia CFO and BAE Group- Preparation of presentations for CFO use with Executive Lead Team and BAE Systems Group - Ensuring that forecasts are reflective of the anticipated business performance- Responsible for reporting systems and processes across the business- Providing insights across the Defence Delivery portfolio financial performance to the DD Lead Team- Improving and standardising processes across the business, allowing consistent analysis of data to be performed- Connecting and collaborating the Central Finance team with the Business Units finance teams - ensuring that we are working towards the same goal and that we are providing the information they need to complete their required activities- Leading and promoting Governance across Defence Delivery, in conjunction with the central Governance team. Coordinating the integration of all aspects of finance within the recently acquired ASC Shipbuilding business, in order to support the future success of the Hunter Class Frigates Project.- Implementation of financial systems- Introducing BAE’s financial governance framework to the business- Supporting and welcoming the ASC Shipbuilding Finance team in their transition to our business- Implementing BAE’s reporting cycle and processes to the business- Managing multiple stakeholders within BAE Systems, ASC Shipbuilding and external to the business (KPMG, Deloitte and other external parties)- Supporting the integration of other functional areas the overlap with finance

- Lead the delivery of the Management Accounting and Governance requirements for the Maritime Sustainment LOB- Consolidation of monthly management accounts across LOB for submission to Head Office- Working with finance leads across the business to implement reporting requirements- Lead the 5 year Integrated Business Planning process for the MS LOB- Lead a small team to ensure all month end and reporting requirements met- Implementation of improved costbase reporting for performance analysis

Financial management of the Williamstown line of business at BAE's Williamstown Shipyard including the Production costbase, Landing Helicopter Dock and Air Warfare Destroyer projects. Leading a team of accountants in preparing monthly reporting, 5 year business plans and supporting the projects and shipyard in achieving the best possible financial outcomes.

- Member of the project team for the delivery of Australia's two largest ever naval ships - Preparation of monthly management reports- Forecasting and budgeting of project financials- Involved in quarterly Estimate At Completion reviews

- Assisted in the consolidation and financial reporting of the monthly and statutory accounts for the Maritime Business Unit.- Preparation and consolidation of 5-year Integrated Business Plan- Involved in the testing and implementation of the Hyperion Planning reporting tool.- Financial management and reporting of the Maritime Senior Lead Team costbase.- Involved in Governance activities: Business Testing, Controls Audit, and working with Internal Audit as a Project Accounting SME.

- Part of the management team on the high profile Air Warfare Destroyer programme.- Advised the Project Manager and team on the financial status of the project and the financial impact of decisions and issues.- Completed monthly reporting requirements for the project.- Regular communications with customer and project team to anticipate problems and resolve them before they could impact project cashflows.- Produced the monthly claim to ensure cash receipts on time with minimal customer queries.

- Responsible for day to day financial management of the production, facilities and repair & maintenance costbases at the Williamstown shipyard.- Production of detailed budgets.- Responsible for monthly reporting.- Intitial vetting and assessment of capital expenditure requests including business cases and financial impacts before submission to Maritime Lead Team.

Initial three years within BAE Systems included three different one year placements in the UK as part of the Finance Leader Development Programme graduate scheme. Briefly, these included:- Financial Reporting for the Military Air Solutions business unit- Project Accounting for several Type 45 Destroyer support contracts- Costbase management for facilities and repair & maintenance of a number of sites across the UK
