• Designed, developed and successfully tested complex stabilized camera systems with image processing capabilities after coordinating and leading a team of engineers from different backgrounds.

• Applied signal processing techniques in MATLAB and C++ for modeling propagation characteristics of frequency multiplier lasers.• Developed laser models for guiding the design of infrared counter measure systems using MATLAB and C++• Developed speech recognition algorithms based on Hidden Markov Models• Implemented several FFT architectures in C++ for achieving maximum laser power by spanning a large parameter space. After failing to achieve reasonable computation time, suggested using Hankel transforms (due to problem’s cylindrical symmetry). Published the results in Optics Communications.

• Designed micro-lens arrays for increasing the signal to noise ratio of infrared focal plane arrays. Simulated the designed device’s crosstalk characteristics using Lumerical FDTD. The outcome of this study was published in APL and Opt. Express.• Worked on computational analysis of light sensing nanoparticles with the aim of quantum efficiency optimization. Wrote MATLAB scripts for modeling and simulating intrinsic sensor behavior. Co-authored several papers published in SCI indexed journals.
