I was the manager and regional Biologist for the Seattle branch of AquaTechnex for six years. Located just north of Seattle, this office manages the majority of the work in Washington State from Federal Way north to the Canadian Border and from Seattle east to as far as Montana. Adam's main responsibilities included the management of personnel and projects during the summer months and sales, permit compliance, and customer management during the winter months.Adam worked as project manager for the majority of larger-scale projects in the State of Washington. This typically entailed arranging for project materials to be available and onsite at the time of the project, management of workforce, as well as public relations. Our business operates out in the open of the public and it is important to convey the purpose for control projects underway and answer any questions the public may have about the industry, products used, and other sources of information available to the public. Prior to this position, I was managing the southern California Regional operations for Aquatechnex. This region operated primarily in the Greater Los Angeles area and the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs).

St. Paul, Mn

Identification of Mosquitoes. Minnesota has one of the top mosquito control districts in the nation and has been highlighted as a example for other urban areas to model their programs after. The district manages the five county Metro area in and around Minneapolis and St. Paul. Rapid, yet accurate, identification of mosquito species was required in order to process field samples. Species identificaion and counts were used to direct control efforts in the file often the same day as the samples were delivered to the lab. The position included the setting, collecting, and reloading of field traps. The position required independent work as well as use of district vehicles when traveling to different locations to collect field samples.The district also has a program of off-site visits to collect bird samples when suspect birds (ones with symptoms of West Nile Virus) had been reported. This required interacting with the public and educating them about the dangers of West Nile and the activities of the District.
