I have over 30 years in computing and engineering environments, including 20+ years’ experience in management. My technical experience includes cyber security, information technology, system design & analysis, application software development, medical device design & commercialization, along with system integration and support.Prior to joining Raytheon, I was the Vice President/Chief Information Officer at Ventana Medical Systems, Inc. During my tenure at Ventana, the IT organization completely re-designed the company’s entire IT infrastructure and implemented numerous security technologies, and applications that enabled the business to securely and efficiently grow its revenue by over 25% year-on-year under my management. From 1978 until 1997 I worked in the Defense Industry for General Dynamics and Hughes Missile Systems on the Navy’s STANDARD Missile program. During this time, I was responsible for the Test Equipment Software and Algorithm Development activities, including technology advisement, implementation, and process improvements to obtain Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Level 3 rating for test equipment software development.I am a member of the Arizona Chapter of InfraGard, ACTRA-Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance, Tucson Computer Society, and CITA-Community Information and Telecommunications Alliance.I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois. Additionally, and I obtained a 4-year Certificate in Electronics and Computer Technology from De Vry Institute of Technology, Chicago, Illinois.
