Topic – Development of an transposon display and isolation system.Objective - The purpose of this study was to develop and optimise an adapted version of L1 retrotransposon display system called ATLAS, to identify strain specific IAP retrotransposon insertions.Results - The project entailed the development of a process for identifying genetic markers for inbred mouse strains via a large scale multiplex PCR based methodology. I developed the process and also developed PCR based identification assays for different inbred mouse strains using the genetic markers identified the preceding process.Akshay Ray, Raheleh Rahbari, and Richard M.
