I established a new team in IDC for Azure Chaos Studio, which aims to develop services and tools for chaos experimentation to ensure that Azure maintains the highest level of resiliency and availability in the cloud domain, cementing Microsoft's leadership position. I am also building strong partnerships with Azure's partner teams and providing timely delivery of features and on-call support to maintain top-class service availability. In addition, I work with PMs and leadership to ensure alignment of objectives and focus during planning, and regularly report progress to SLT and partner teams.

In my role as a development team manager, I led a team of 20 employees and contractors in India, overseeing their work across diverse areas including wireless features, dataplane, containerization, UI/UX, and both legacy and new hardware and software products. I closely collaborated with SEs, TAC, marketing, and product management teams to define product features and provide support. Leveraging my expertise as a subject matter expert for multiple software features and an architect for hardware and software platforms, I led the development of several POCs and demos for product management teams based on anticipated customer requirements and industry trends.

As an individual contributor, I contributed to advancing the product roadmap by integrating legacy software with Extreme Networks' legacy OS, network, and device management tools. My work involved integrating the user-space DPI engine while maintaining legacy interfaces and features. Alongside this, I provided engineering support for customer-reported issues related to the wireless analytics product, which is widely licensed by Tier-1 retailers and enterprises in the Americas and Europe.

My responsibilities included working on Application Visibility & NSight. I integrated a DPI engine in 802.11ac wave 1 and wave 2 access points and implemented the extraction and reporting of SSL and HTTP information from client sessions. I also proposed a unique quality metric for evaluating unencrypted voice, video, and streaming applications, and wrote Mongo aggregation queries and pipelines to summarize the information obtained through DPI. In addition, I published architecture and design documentation and worked on feature enhancements as requested by customers.

I developed and implemented a public WiFi subscriber management and BRAS solution on the MEG-400 platform. The solution included tunnel management, access policy enforcement, IP address management, and interfaces with RADIUS servers and DHCP. I designed and implemented customized data structures for optimal performance, and all software was developed using best practices. The software was field-tested for 1M concurrent subscribers.

I designed and executed the creation of a full-featured, transactional ACID-compliant Key-Value database in C++, similar to REDIS. This component was developed to replace multiple existing mechanisms used to synchronize information between chassis line cards. The database served as a data store for control and forwarding information on a single line card, and provided hot-sync capabilities when a standby line card was available. The database was designed with scaling in mind, to efficiently store information and replicate it for up to 64,000 cable modems, completing bulk replication in less than 150 ms, meeting the design criteria.

My primary responsibility was maintaining a crucial software component that synchronized control and forwarding information between line cards in a device chassis. I conducted BGP/MPLS tests during downtime, gained experience in troubleshooting hardware using a JTAG debugger, and redesigned key aspects of the TACACS implementation due to a high number of customer requests. I also participated in build release activities and was recognized twice with the BRAVO award for fast turnaround times in resolving customer requests and setting up a hardware recovery facility in the lab.
