I am a practicing registered architect, company director and TV sports commentator. From 1999 - 2011 I was also a professional rugby union player having played 69 tests for the Wallabies and 120 Super Rugby games for the Waratahs including playing in 2 Rugby World Cups and 2 Super Rugby finals.Having graduated from the University of Sydney in 2001 with both the Sir John Sulman and Sunlord Perpetual awards for design, I began working as an architect on a part-time basis whilst playing professional rugby. On completion of my rugby career in 2011, I became registered as an architect and moved back full-time specialising in sports, convention + exhibition and master planning projects both in Australia and South East Asia. Some projects of note that I have been involved in are:- Bankwest Stadium, Sydney- Stadium Australia Redevelopment, Sydney- AIS Master Plan, Canberra- NSWRL Centre of Excellence, Sydney- RAS Master Plan. Sydney- West Coast Eagles Centre of Excellence, Perth- The SCG Northern Stand, Sydney- The Indonesian International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Jakarta- The Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney and Domain Master Plan, Sydney- Khalifar Stadium, QatarI'm currently a Senior Principal with Populous, a global architecture and design practice specialising in sports and events.As well as being an architect, I’m also the President of NSWRU and sit on the Waratah Rugby High Performance Committee. I also sit on the Cauliflower Club Board and Australian Steel Institute Board. I have previously served as a director on the NSW Rugby Union, the SLM Trust and Rugby Union Players Association boards and as a principal of the Sustainable Forward Consulting Group and graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course in 2011.
