Skills training in the treatment of distress intolerance, self harm and the treatment of Cluster B personality traits. With a view to developing an animated internet-based psychoeducation package for sufferers of distress intolerance/self harm and their families. The goal of this package to teach sufferers about the Distress Cycle and the Suffering Cycle and to introduce the techniques that can be utilised to break the Distress cycle and thereby overcome suffering.

My role here is the provision of clinical care to patients attending the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at CRUfAD, the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression. I co-facilitated the weekly dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) group skills program.

During this period I was responsible for leading a team of up to eleven psychiatric specialists-in-training. In this role I facilitated the timely and efficient delivery of front-line psychiatric services to the community of the Sutherland Shire (pop 220,000). I improved within-hospital access to psychiatric services by simplifying referral pathways. I developed systems and designed clinical tools to improve the safety and efficiency of the ECT service.
