While remaining hands on I was in a leadership position steering the direction of a strategic initiative to build a centralized cloud native landing zone platform for the organization to become more ‘cloud native’ and a brand-new enterprise-wide generative AI platform, including infrastructure and enablement of data science techniques to allow indexing and management of documents to be searched.The platforms had principles and standards that drive automation including CI:CD tooling, multiple re-usable pipeline options to enable developers to deploy services quickly without the need for raising requests or manual effort. Much of my work has been designing and building the platform and eco-system, but as tech lead it give me opportunity to face of the business for buy-in to the program and allowed me to take a product ownership view driving the roadmap, backlog and daily sprints etc. Alongside this had also been responsible for running and building of Azure PaaS services that includes build and leading the SRE team who build and maintain thousands of PaaS resources Show less

Since joining L3 team I have worked on various projects including.Project Admiral, divesting Barclays Portugal (PCB) to Bankinter. I became a key part of the datacentre migration and virtualisation workspace. Phase one of the project consisted of server and application migrations, using various techniques including P2V & V2V from Barclays datacentre into IBM owned virtual infrastructure. Phase 2 involved separating the migrated servers off the Barclays network and into the new interim Bankinter domain. During the course of the project I have been a primary point of contact representing Barclays to support any incidents flagged by both IBM or Bankinter.I have continued throughout to work on Windows 2003 eradication and domain consolidation programs to reduce the Windows “Tech Debt” these projects include: • WINS service consolidation\decommissioning.• DNS & DHCP server migrations to strategic environment. • Large file & data migrations to strategic storage infrastructure.• Active Directory uplift of to Windows 2012, this included a large amount of remediation work followed by demotions and promotions of domain controllers.I have also been a part of many new agent rollouts and software deployment tasks across the estate that consists of approx. 60,000 servers. Agents include Symantec Endpoint Protection, Galaxy, Ganglia, Splunk, SCOM & SCCM.Towards the end of my time in the Windows team I became SME for Windows CHEF environment my BAU activates have consisted of developing recipes to improve the Automation of various tasks and implement a desired state across the estate.
