As Group Vice President of Service Operations and Corporate Planning for Toyota Financial Services (TFS) and Lexus Financial Services (LFS), he led a division of over 1800 team members, transforming the division into a customer-centric service operation across the Customer Services, Collections, Asset Protection, Central Recovery and Fraud business sectors. Additionally, Al led the company’s Strategic Planning, Corporate Communications, Government Affairs and Community Relations Departments, promoting Toyota’s undertakings with national and civic leaders.After retiring, Smith launched ATIA Advisory Services, a career and executive coaching firm focused on helping clients improve their performance, develop leadership skills, navigate challenges, and achieve their professional goals through personalized guidance, feedback, and relationship management.
