• Responsible for the operations, quality and production efficiency of a manufacturing line creating 500,000+ units per day

• Conducted hands-on lab sessions, guiding students through mechatronics principles including mechanical design, microcontroller programming, Python programming, circuitry design and system/sensor testing• Designed and assembled hardware kits for testing and validation of electromechanical systems, identifying over 50 faulty electronic pieces.

Developed a machine learning algorithm capable of predicting the dielectric breakdown field and mechanical strain of dielectric elastomer actuators (DEAs). This work represented the first known attempt to predict DEA characteristics using learning-based algorithms, establishing the foundation for the first DEA device analysis and prediction tool. The project laid the groundwork for the development of long-cycle life and practically applicable DEAs.Key responsibilities and achievements included:Fabricated DEAs with varying electrode compositions, focusing primarily on carbon nanotube-based electrodes.Recorded dielectric breakdown limits and maximum mechanical strain by actuating devices at high voltages and compared results to their initial electrical properties.Programmed and selected a suitable deep learning algorithm, trained the model using collected data, and used the model to predict breakdown limits and mechanical strain based on initial electrical measurements.Validated the model’s prediction accuracy through experimentation and created a linear regression model as a baseline to confirm the necessity of higher-level machine-learning approaches.Redesigned the radial stretching tool to automate and standardize the DEA fabrication process, improving consistency and efficiency.

Working alongside members of the ECC I wrote a research paper highlighting the affects of COVID-19 on different Canadian Industries. We focused mainly on sectors in which engineers and engineering students play a major role. I really enjoyed writing this paper as the information I found allowed me to thoroughly understand and conclude as to how COVID-19 has and how it will affect engineers and engineering students seeking work.

Worked alongside a University of Toronto professor to create a poster outlining a list of useful habits for students to avoid high levels of stress, anxiety, and panic attacks. This was done after researching months of research and regular check-ins with supervisors.
