• Assess students’ skills and determine their educational needs• Adapt general lessons to meet students’ needs• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.• Plan activities that are specific to each student’s abilities.• Teach and mentor students as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one.• Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress.• Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students’ progress and goals.• Discuss students’ progress with parents, other teachers, counselors, and administrators.• Prepare and help students transition from grade to grade and from school to life outside of school.

• Prepare all work schedules for employees making sure the manager or head life guard is on duty at all times the pool is open.• Insure hourly employees work no more than 40 hours per week• Report hours, days, & time worked for all employees under his/her direct supervision• Insure employees under his/her direct supervision are properly trained in their duties.• Assist in tracking pool attendance, balance cash drawer, & make daily deposit as directed.• Insure proper operating condition of all equipment.• Maintain staff rotations and staff breaks.• Maintain discipline at the swimming pool facility and supervises all staff enforcing staff policies and rules.• Maintain positive public relations at the swimming pool.• Document and reports all disciplinary problems and accidents to the Parks Administrator reports will be neat and concise.• Set a positive example for the rest of the staff to follow.• Schedule events held at the pool at times other than the regularly scheduled hours.• Check all gates and doors at closing time.• Other duties as deemed necessary or as required.
