(The largest and number one brokerage firm in Iran with more than 12 million customers), where I have worked both as a Senior Data Scientist and also as a Senior Software Developer.Among our most important products at Mofid, I should mention 'EasyTrader'. Released in Dec 2018, it very soon gained fantastic popularity among financial traders, and successfully beat all of its rivals in only one year. Now it is the top trading application in Iran, with millions of daily active users.Now my primary work is more focused on AI and ML models research and development rather than pure software engineering. As a company enriched with a huge amount of daily financial data, we have been developing, testing, and modifying training models on a regular basis.I got my MS degree in Computer Engineering (AI branch) from the Sharif University of Technology. My MS thesis was about the classification of human microarray gene expression data using semi-supervised learning techniques. There, we developed a novel semi-supervised learning method for classification based on Support Vector Clustering (SVC) which was faster and more accurate than other SVC-based methods. We applied this method to benchmark gene expression data sets to distinguish between different types of tumors in various cancers. We obtained very promising results even when the data had limited labeled samples.I also got a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Tehran. In my Ph.D. thesis, using computational methods, my colleagues and I, investigated the role of long-noncoding-RNA genes in human esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). We introduced some candidate regulatory genes in the resulting paper (published in Genomics, 2019 - Elsevier), many of which have later been experimentally validated as biomarkers in ESCC.
