Directed and led the initial enterprise-wide implementation of Target's enterprise sustainability strategy, Target Forward

• Directed implementation of Target's enterprise-wide sustainability strategy, Target Forward, from strategy finalization to external announcement in June 2021; led cross-functional CFT of over twenty subject-matter experts in developing and gaining senior leadership and board of directors approval of our ten-year ambitious goal portfolio and associated investments. • Developed both Target’s circular design principles and associated enterprise-wide training program/internal training web-based resource; trained over 2,000 team members on concept of circular design and how to utilize circular design thinking in regular business decisions and operations; as a result, Target was the first mass retailer globally and the first retailer in the United States to approach circular design training as a cross-enterprise initiative, which led to Target being recognized by Global Fashion Agenda for our best-in-class approach and invited to speak at the Copenhagen Fashion Summit in May 2019 • Served as corporate responsibility subject-matter expert and resource for Apparel Merchandising, Home Merchandising, Hardlines Merchandising, product design, and the Accelerators team to make progress on sustainability-related initiatives; partnered with senior leadership across all categories to drive initiatives such as eliminating all Styrofoam coolers from Target stores, expanding Target’s inclusive (sensory-friendly) products line into Pillowfort, and launching Target’s first fully circularly-designed product, Okabashi sandals, in-stores and on Target.com • Managed team of program managers driving results in cross-enterprise initiatives ranging from sustainable guest-facing product launches to critical key enterprise initiatives like Target’s climate and human rights’ policies
