Global Cycling Promotion (GCP) was first set up as a commercially focused entity within the International Cycling Union (UCI) and then became a company owned by the UCI in July 2011. Its mission was to develop sustainable cycling products and events in new and existing markets, and promote and protect cycling globally, for the good of the sport.GCP’s key project was the organization of the Tour of Beijing in cooperation with the City of Beijing From 2011 to 2014, the Tour of Beijing was the first and only UCI WorldTour in Asia, and was a key contribution to cycling’s globalization. The event was designed as a new model of cooperation between the UCI, the teams, the riders, local organizers, providers and the domestic cycling scene.Responsibilities:- Liaison with the Local Organising Committee- Coordination of the teams’ international travels with UCI Travel- Technical supervision of the event in association with ASO and Sport For Television- International Communication via Jump Media & Marketing- TV production assistance with International Sports Broadcasting
