Alan Bryce is a Non Executive Director at Northumbrian Water Ltd, Jersey Electricity plc and NIE Networks in Northern Ireland. Alan was formerly Managing Director of Energy Networks at Scottish Power and, prior to that, Managing Director, Generation. He has also served as Chair of Viking Energy Shetland and as a Non Executive Director of Scottish Water, Infinis Energy plc, and of IberdrolaUSA in New York.Graduating with an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, he has over 40 years of experience in utilities, and has held senior positions in corporate strategy as well as in operations.His key business interests include promoting best practice in asset management, health and safety, and business efficiency, and the generation, transmission and distribution of low carbon energy.
