Alan Burns, ACAS, MAAA, AIDA is the Sr. Vice President & Chief Actuary for the Compensation Advisory Organization of Michigan (CAOM), based in Livonia, Michigan. As Chief Actuary, Alan oversees the Actuarial Services group. As an experienced leader he participates on the Bureau's senior leadership team in formulating the organization’s strategic plan and prioritizing initiatives. Alan interacts with many different stakeholders including the Board of Directors, committees and regulators. Alan's team is directly responsible of aggregate and classification ratemaking.  In addition they assist with the data collection to promote and ensure high data quality.
