As a member of the Central and Consol team in Macquarie's Banking and Financial services division, my key role is to understand and explain the key business drivers that explain Macquarie's performance. Analysis spans a wide range of products across Personal Banking, Business Banking and Wealth Management.Key responsibilities:• Leading, managing and coordinating the Month End process to provide key analysis to division CFO and CEO in a timely manner• Financial Modelling - Forecasting 1 - 5 year strategy views using models to provide in-depth views and analysis• Budgeting - preparation of budgets, understanding movements, conducting analysis and challenging assumptions used by divisions senior management• Stress testing - responding to APRAs stress testing requirements using financial modelling to build a clear understanding of the business performance under APRAs guidelines (COVID related impacts)• Strategy - working with strategy teams to ensure financial information is readily available and helping to build a clear strategic plan

External ReportingProfit Announcement• Preparing, managing and coordinating the PA document ahead of period end for the CFO• In depth review of new accounting standards (AASB15 and AASB16) to ensure Profit Announcement is compliant• Assistance with hiring of contractors as part of the half year and year end process• The coordination of timelines and responsibility schedules for other divisions within the bank for the CFO• Oversees the master document and reviews all commentary changes• Manages and coordinates the Quality Review process across the PA• Responds to risks and weaknesses in a diligent and appropriate fashion for the CFO• Prepare concise and timely internal audit reports focused on driving continuous improvements• Coordination of print day and compilation of folders for FSLT, Board, CFO and CEO• Finalisation of the PA for print and release to the marketPillar 3● Preparing, managing and coordinating the Pillar 3 document ahead of period end for the CFO● Review of BASEL and APRA reports to ensure Pillar 3 is compliant with APRA regulations as directed by the CFO● Liaising with other departments of the bank to ensure submission timelines and deadlines are followed● Review of all submissions from other departments to ensure factual and numerical accuracy ● Recalculation of complex metrics to ensure financial accuracy and literacy Internal reporting Month End Management• Articulate key business drivers, provide critical insights to drive debate, and deliver value-add analysis of all Group businesses for the Executive Committee, Board and CFO• Financial modelling and recalculation of key financial metrics• Compilation of monthly reports for review by senior management and vice CFO• Drawing on business knowledge to provide in depth analysis on departments monthly performance• Predicting future financial trends

Audit Senior – CHEC Audit (Construction, Healthcare, Energy and Communications) ● My focus has been on the audit of clients in the energy, newspaper and pharmaceutical industries● Throughout my time in KPMG, I have gained wide exposure to clients across many different fields ensuring a diverse skill set and attributes that are highly transferable.Responsibilities working as an audit senior included:● Testing of controls in order to identify strengths and weaknesses in the control environment;● Design of audit tests in response to identified significant risks during audit planning;● Providing on-the- job training to junior staff and delegation of audit work amongst team members;● Preparation of client communication documentation for presentation at Board meetings;● Analysing forecasts, cash flows and business valuations.● Developing an extensive understanding of all aspects of clients’ businesses and industries.● Management of teams of up to 7 individuals● Building relationships with clients. Acting as the main point of contact for clients, requiring a significant level communication both face to face and over the phone.
