I'm currently the Senior Legal Analyst at Brevan Howard, where I bring a unique first-generation American, college student and professional worker perspective to work and life.Earning my undergraduate degree at Harvard transformed the way I dissect problems and how I approach strategizing and executing their solutions. I expanded my horizons beyond my Cognitive Neuroscience degree by working in Brazil after college to work for Harvard in education project management. I had never been out of the continent, but it was time to continue growing. And I continued on that path after my fellowship by diving into a legal analyst role at Soros Fund Management in NYC. The experience I've had in financial services has been incredibly valuable beyond the subject matter knowledge I've gained: the high volume, fast pace and deadline-driven interconnectedness to global markets pushes me to bring my best self to work every day. I make sure legal processes and transactions run smoothly to facilitate business execution . I conduct and oversee drafting and negotiation for NDAs, vendor contracts, transaction contracts, trading documents, and assist with completion of KYC/AML requests and regulatory filings. In complex financial transactions and otherwise, staying organized and keeping the big picture in mind while paying attention to the details makes for a better process and results.Having grown up in rural southern Mexico, I am grateful for the challenges that have come my way, I am passionate about leveraging my unique background and skillset to make a meaningful impact, and I am confident in the decisions I make for myself and my organization.
