The position also included all human resource responsibilities including all payroll duties.

Responsibilities included all financial, banking, and accounting responsibilities for this company and four sister companies. This includes coordinating dealings with multiple banks, strategic financial planning, preparation of all financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, and supervising accounting clerical and administrative employees along with a human resources manager. Also acted as the human resources director giving overall guidance to managers and ensuring company policies and procedures were developed and followed.Accomplishments:While controller and as a part of the executive team I helped build an infrastructure that allowed the company to grow from 6 million in revenues to 30 million in revenues ;The company also grew from 25 employees to 130 employees during this time period and I had to add personnel and structure to manage this growth;Created 4 new companies along with the accounting, payroll, and human resources infrastructure that goes along with that;Helped negotiate a deal to get financing for the purchase of a $4 million building;

Responsibilities included managing and supervising up to five employees from Accountants to Administrative Assistants; preparing internal and external financial statements and reports meeting monthly deadlines; creating and utilizing financial forecasts and budgets for short and long term planning; converting custom corporate accounting system to Peachtree software system; preparing, analyzing, and reviewing general ledger accounts, billings, and reconciliation's; preparing compliance reports and calculating ratios for bank loan covenants; assisting in development of long and short-term financial plans; and analyzing financial results and explaining budget variances in order to effectively advise upper management.Accomplishments:financially integrated three companies into one by effectively combining all business processes, vendor processes, checking accounts and financial reporting;established new procedures to follow concerning internal controls and analytical review to improve overall company wide business practices;created many Excel spreadsheet models for budgeting, forecasting, pricing and cost studies, which saved numerous hours of planning time as well as improving planning flexibility;recovered $374,000 in circuit costs from two audits.

Successive and progressive appointments; Responsibilities included much of the above in addition to regulatory reporting (FERC, 10K, 8K); maintaining and improving expense allocation systems; preparing project profitability statements; designing cash modules in Excel for input into financial planning software ("what if" analyzer), and computerizing and coordinating a financial performance report. Accomplishments:converted cost of capital model from manual format to spreadsheet format saving hours of calculation time and effort;helped develop the cash flows statement when it was first required by GAAP.
