Alan Daigle is an Analyst on the Information Technology & Cybersecurity team at the U.S. Government Accountability Office. GAO is an independent, nonpartisan agency that works for Congress. GAO examines how taxpayer dollars are spent and provides Congress and federal agencies with objective, reliable, information to help the government save money and work more efficiently. GAO's IT & Cybersecurity team examines the federal government and makes recommendations on how to improve IT management practices; ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of IT acquisitions and operations; adopt IT management best practices; protect individual privacy and sensitive data; strengthen cybersecurity and protect information systems; and develop and execute a comprehensive national cybersecurity strategy. Alan joined GAO in 2017. Over the course of his career, Alan has assisted with major reviews of:- Efforts by DHS to transition to Agile software development- FAA's oversight of avionics cybersecurity- 2020 Census systems readiness and implementation- NASA major mission cybersecurity
