At present I work within a data centre for a global IT company where I am involved in carrying out the day to day activities in what can be a busy environment as part of a 2 man shift team working 12 hour shifts. My main responsibilities involve the receipt and despatch of media to and from customers on a daily basis, making managerial decisions which ensure that the global procedures are strictly adhered to as well as the implementation of administrative requirements for engineers to work onsite. On a daily basis, I deal with the onsite Permit to Work process where I review the work details including reviewing the online approval documentation before querying any details listed on the work permit form, if required, then approving the work on behalf of the site. I also respond to ad hoc queries from a number of sources such as account project managers, help teams and engineers on the telephone, face to face as well as through e-mails and Skype. I also deal with the receiving of deliveries and handing over collections on behalf of the accounts involved. On a regular basis, I also deal with third party engineers when they are on site for installation work, if there is any discrepancies in the work they are carrying out and the details within the work permit, then it is my responsibility to ensure that the discrepancy is no longer relevant. I have great confidence in my ability to deal with all these queries professionally and efficiently.
