Joined Animax/Clinimax in October 2005 to take over a role of accountant for the smallstart up company and Animax, an established medium company. Just one person reporting tome; the role covers costings, sales statistics, monthly management reports and everythingyou would expect in a company with *3m turnover plus currency accounts and invoicediscounting.

Temporary role that became permanent: Over 600 active accounts/4.3m book: 85% NHS; 15%private hospitals and distributors. (System: Navision). Reports: Aged debtor and debtor days, historical cash collection, projected collectiontargets (with input into cashflow and capital management), credit note production, salestargets; liaison with bank. This was a fascinating appointment; working with the Government's New Deal scheme helpingthe long term unemployed get started with self employment. The position was advisory,handling up to 50 clients at one time, helping them through start-up and the first 6-12months of trading; ensuring success of these (most varied) businesses. My involvement with this group started in 1990, soon after starting Linfordes Ltd. Inthat year I assisted in the takeover and integration of Associated Coaches Ltd into thegroup. In 1995, the exercise was repeated with another local operator, Busby Coaches.Whilst working for this company, I have put into practise my experience with Sage, Exceland.

I helped take this small manufacturing company from the initial design stage, arrangeddevelopment stage funding and joined them when production was just starting. Within threeyears we had a range of products and had orders for over one million. I would have likedto stay with this company but the directors sold the company to an engineering firm.

I helped form this company and expanded my network contacts developed within NatWest; providing an informed brokerage service for commercial finance. Typically, I producedbusiness plans with cashflow and profit & loss forecasts and made a presentation tolenders to obtain the finance required.

This was a traditional training in customer care, lending and financial control, andadministration. The last two positions with NatWest were as Business Development Manager,* Bringing together the marketing resources of 15 Branches (approx. 250 staff).
