He is employed by NHS Fife to deliver FREE health, safety and wellbeing advice to workplaces. This primarily includes face to face workplace visits to identify good practice and areas where improvement could be achieved and support in developing policies and procedures in a range of health, safety and well-being areas. This is in accordance with research that shows how local contact is important if meaningful outcomes are to be achieved in workplaces.The service offers advice and support on all aspects of occupational health, safety and wellbeing. Advisers work with organisations to improve their overall work performance through improved working practices and conditions, assisting organisations to meet their legal obligations and developing understanding of good practice in work related health, safety and well-being.There is a strong focus on addressing health inequalities in the workplace and close local partnership working with Fife Health & Wellbeing Alliance, Opportunities Fife, Fife Economy partnership and Fife Community Safety Partnership.The team also deliver elements of the Healthy Working Lives programme within the NHS Fife Board area on behalf of the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives.
