• Joined GEC Plessey (formerly Marconi Electronic Devices Ltd, Lincoln) as an equipment technician, and worked my way up to Principal Engineer Group Leader, managing a group of 15 engineers & technicians.• Set up a high volume SAW filter assembly production line.• Set up a Hybrid Assembly production line as products were transferred from Marconi Microelectronics (Groundwell, Swindon).• Managed & engineered the development of leading edge MCM & Flip-Chip production. • Researched, procured and commissioned OEM capital equipment.• Projects involved liaising with R&D engineers, wafer fabrication & test engineers as well as being a member of successful cross function & cross-site development teams.
