I initially joined B-Skill as an IQA in which the role involved quality assurance of Customer Service, Administration and Team Leading QCFs and Apprenticeship Standards. This involved a more supportive role to IQAs, building learning plans on Aptem (e-portfolio), carry out OTLs, resource creation, Standards IQA and EPA support to colleagues, IT support and creating software to improve coach and learner experience. I have also recently become involved with the B-Skill website to produce pages that help, support and inform both learners and staff alike with wider learning topics such as safeguarding, British values, PREVENT. Duties include regular checking of portfolios for progression, consistency, quality and accuracy of judgements and visiting the Assessors in the workplace to carry out both Verification and Assessor observations. As Coordinator I had responsibility for authorising holidays & mileage, recording sickness and carrying out appraisals/monthly progressions to ensure targets and KPIs were achieved. A sizeable part of my job involved analysing data of the team’s performance and implementing plans of action to correct any issues.I was solely responsible for organisation, preparation and delivery of iTQ and PROCOM standardisation sessions for all appropriate staff within the company. I was also responsible for organising and chairing Cross Centre ICT meetings approximately every three months.I was also appointed Test Centre Manager for the Chamber of Commerce for our ECDL courses. Typically the software used included Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer and I was required to work with unemployed adults of all ages and abilities.1991-2000: NECC (Formerly Jobwise Training Ltd)I was responsible for the design, preparation and delivery of RSA Information Technology and Business Administration NVQs at levels 1, 2 and 3. This involved assessing trainees within the training centre and on-site. My responsibility also extended to interviewing potential WBLA trainees, completion of necessary Jobcentre and LSC paperwork and liaising with local jobcentres.
