I'm Alan Hau, Head of Finance at Goodnotes. My current role is responsible for overseeing the global finance function, ensuring proper financial control, FP&A, international tax, and treasury management. I develop various reporting tools to provide management with a comprehensive financial overview, build financial budgets and headcount planning, as well as long-term forecasts, with thorough analysis in the commercial outcomes in key markets.Prior to joining Goodnotes, I worked at Crypto.com as a Financial Controller, AQUMON as a Senior Financial Controller, and PwC, where I progressed from Associate to Senior Manager a decade-long tenure. I have a proven track record in strategic planning, business development and led complex finance projects, such as finance system implementation, integrating global finance data with various accounting standards. I have established internal controls and SOPs for the finance function, enhancing internal and budget control. Additionally, my experience extends to supporting fundraising efforts, providing insights and reports to investors, and engaging in strategic partnership discussions to expand revenue streams and increase brand presence in key markets. I demonstrated key skills and strong knowledge in IPO, bond offerings, M&A projects, USGAAP, IFRS, HKFRS, and advising clients on complex accounting matters.I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration in Professional Accounting from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. I am a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a Practising Member of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC), and a Qualified Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
