I currently work autonomously as the Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner within General Practice. Within this role I have gained experience recruiting and interviewing new practitioners and have been working with the practice enhancing governance recording using the HEE matrix tools for advancing clinical practice. Clinically I work to a high level to assess, prescribe, diagnose and refer patients with multiple health needs. I have have been working with my current practice to broaden the public experience and confidence of seeing a clinical practitioner instead of a doctor. In additional to this I am leading learning disability care reviews. I have experience of recruiting and interviewing advanced clinical practitioners. Prior to my work in primary care I worked full time within the urgent care setting as a Staff nurse, giving me significant A&E experience. I also have 20+ years of pre-hospital experience as a volunteer within St John Ambulance. Within this organisation, I have undertaken various roles, ranging from first aider, ambulance crew, lead event clinician, lead event manager and clinical assurance officer to name some roles.
