Typical duties as a member of the Interventions team included:• Site visits to inspect equipment – wrote survey reports for each asset, utilising engineering judgement to comment on the criticality of repair required.• Took part in a design verification audit, ensuring calculations of each part in the system were adequate and adhered to the latest industry codes and standards.• Assisted in creating the operating and maintenance procedures for a full subsea system.Typical duties as a member of the Project team included:• On-site project engineer solving high priority issues during manufacturing phase and coordinating with customer representative for major project. • Assisted project team progress an entire subsea system through Factory Acceptance Testing.• Produced inspection/maintenance procedures and operating procedures for multiple components of a subsea system.During this time I was also progressing towards engineering chartership through IMechE. Typical duties:• Involved in the design of a support bracket including concept generation, design calculations, material selection and creating CAD drawing of the part.• Completed wall thickness/stress calculations to verify the safety of various parts.• Completed lifting force calculations to verify sling sets were fit for purpose.
