As a results-driven Regional Manager, I have worked within the retail industry for over 30 years, gradually being promoted through a number of managerial positions until becoming a Divisional Business Leader for Homebase. I greatly enjoy this role and the challenges it holds and find the multi-site dimension of the job particularly interesting. Perhaps the most fulfilling aspect of the position is in developing the managers in my team. I strongly belief that valuing the contributions made by individuals encourages genuine commitment to a cause and certainly this has been my own experience. I have a strong, prior record of project and operational management. I have worked as a store manager, consistently delivering improvements to both efficiency and profitability and, although I am very much a team player, I am also an independent thinker. My personal maxim is to strive for excellence in all that I do and I strongly believe in leading through example. I am fortunate to have developed a broad range of readily transferable skills and senior management experience.
