I am a Mechanical Engineer with 30 years’ experience in both traditional and advanced manufacturing and servicing techniques. My Name is Alan McGregor I am a UK resident and was born in Liverpool.My Career in the UK has mainly been in the manufacturing and servicing sector of Engineering. This gave me a wide knowledge base in machine shop manufacturing and maintaining and servicing small and large plant. Coupled with advanced understanding of lean tools and techniques demonstrated through leading specific projects that have delivered improved machine, office and shop floor efficiency using Waterfall project management. In 2019 I became a Scrum Master that gave me the insight into agile methodology.I have completed NEBOSH general certificate in Controlling Workplace Hazards to give me a more detailed understanding of risk management and H&S practise. I am a Strong motivator and team builder with proven capacity to work effectively in a demanding, dynamic environment. Also an experienced mentor/coach through supporting two of Airbus’ benchmark Early Career Scheme’s at Apprentice and Graduate level.My key values are giving back to the community, I have organised fundraisers both in and out of work, such as Parachuting, organising Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Cafés plus working with the British Heart Foundation.
