I am seconded to the Airbus Broughton Innovation space as a member of the SCRUM Team to develop my skills in agile methodology using tools such as ThinkWrong to support design thinking. Part of this secondment I also completed CSM training with Scrum Alliance. As a SCRUM team we completed 7 sprints; Airbus Broughton SA/LA future calibration, Airbus Broughton A350 Rib improvment, Airbus Broughton BIM reduction.

The main focus is to reduce Non Payroll Overheads by working with internal customers and suppliers on delivering like for like or better products at a more competitive cost, without compromising Quality, H&S and the product in any way. Demonstrated Skills: Negotiation, communication and Stake holder Management. Additionally act as a mentor for other project leaders in the LBIP (Leaner Business Improvement Project) documentation to track NPO projects. This is placed in a central database so best practice can be shared across the Airbus Group. Currently also the Target Area Owner for 5 Direct Entry Graduates, which has offered opportunities for developing coaching, leadership and organizational skills throughout their 2 year scheme.

Project Lead for various projects aimed at improving A380 programme work place organisation and elimination of waste and duplication within processes in both office and shop floor environment. Demonstrated Skills: implementation of Lean tools: 5S, Kaizen, Ishikawa, Line Balancing, Poke Yoke, and Value Stream Mapping. Active member of the environmental team focussed on reducing the carbon footprint (BS14001) of A380 programme within Broughton plant by investigating renewable energy sources.

Joined Airbus UK as a skilled Aircraft fitter. Held a role as part of the bottom skin drill off team on the A380 programme. This was a manufacturing process that had not been attempted before in the Aircraft industry and had many challenges. Demonstrated Skills: Working with a fast paced multifunctional team to achieve a common goal, experience in an innovative and dynamic environment to meet challenging deadlines.

5750 Components Limited is a manufacturer of laser cut profiles. 5750 Components Limited handles every aspect of part production from raw materials to finish products. Appointed as a draughtsman /operator for the operation of CO2 laser technology; underwent extensive training with Trumpf laser manufacturers to enable successful operation of the vast range of machines used by the company. Demonstrated skills: Programming and operating CO2 laser machines, interpreting technical drawings and negotiating with external customers.

Joined Glasson Engineering as an apprentice engineer. The Apprenticeship provided an invaluable experience of workshop skills and representative work. After completing the apprenticeship training was undertook in order to become a mentor for other apprentices within the company.
