The Account Director who led the successful procurement, mobilisation, and then initial phase of delivery of the hugely innovative Integrated Asset Management Contract in Partnership with Slough Borough Council.The Contract was a property maintenance, refurbishment, and servicing contract for the entirety of the councils stock. The stock was made up of circa 6,500 tenanted properties, including flats and houses.The services we undertook for the council were property maintenance, caretaking of blocks, gas servicing and maintenance, compliance servicing and maintenance, property refurbishment works including major planned projects to blocks and estates. We transferred 120 staff during this process from the former service providers into our business.I set about explaining and working with the Business Development Team to illustrate and document the delivery model for these works during the tender process, going onto setting up the infrastructure to deliver these works during mobilisation, then the integration of the staff into our business including all of the cultural and procedural change management required, and finally setting about the actual delivery of the works on the ground in the opening weeks.

The Account Manager overseeing the delivery of the innovative Total Asset Management Contract in Partnership with Dacorum Borough Council. The contract is to manage the Councils assets holistically ensuring that all of the asset intelligence is best used to achieve maximum efficiencies.The contract carries a value of circa £23mil per annum covering the councils stock of 10,500 properties and 1,500 Leaseholders.The services provided were property maintenance, refurbishing empty properties to be relet, and larger project works to houses, blocks of flats, and estates.We became industry leads in refurbishing empty properties in one day; this meant keys received in the morning, properties were refurbished and keys returned the same day. This resulted in significant additional revenue for the council as these properties could be relet immediately.A significant part of this role was the change management process of not only the 80 staff transferring into our business but the client team. Significant cultural and procedural overhaul of the teams involved.

The Partnership Manager who oversaw the delivery of property maintenance, small works, and refurbishing of empty properties.Oversaw all Commercial Management duties of the contract alongside the Partnership Manager duties.

The role started as Quantity Surveyor but developed in Contract Management. This was a strongly QS led role where pricing of works, agreeing variations, estimating tenders, site attendance to specify and subsequently price larger project works, agreeing rates with subcontractors, and then ultimately ensure the works were delivered to standard and programme. The budget preparation and management was a key factor of this role also.

Quantity Surveyor who worked on property maintenance, refurbishment of empty properties, and mid level planned works activities.This role required me to use Schedule of rates prescribed by the contract (NHF), bespoke rates agreed with clients, and quoted works activities. I priced all works either pre commencement for larger quoted activities or post for the maintenance. Attending meetings with the client to discuss and negotiate rates or the codes used was another key focus of this role.Liaising with subcontractors and clients to agree pricing, issue orders out to subcontractors, and then ensure costs did not exceed order values or mitigation was in place to ensure back to back recovery.The raising of material orders as required through works and ensuring value for money in this area was key also.This resulted in me commercially managing our largest maintenance contract at the time, Family Mosaic, with an annual value of circa £10mil.
