28 years in the public transport industry, 22 years with the Public Transport Corporation (Swanston Trams) and managed Portland Cable Trams Inc., a Not for Profit tourist organization from January 2008 to March 2014. I also spent 8 years in the retail industry as a Business Manager. I commenced with the Public Transport Corporation as a Tram Conductor with the old MMTB and worked my way up to Manager Operations Support. Along the journey, I was a Tramway Inspector, a Fleet Controller in the AVM Control Centre, Project Manager and Tram Depot Manager.When General Manager of Portland Cable Trams, I achieved accreditation for the tramway under the Rail Safety Act 2006 (Vic), prepared and maintained their safety management system (SMS), performed risk management processes, internal auditing, prepared documentation, such as procedures, policies, manuals, forms and risk registers and performed training & assessment duties, and implemented changes to their track infrastructure set-up over the 6 years I was with the organisation.I have a thorough understanding of and extensive experience in Safety, Risk Management, Change Management processes, Lead Auditing, Legislative Compliance related issues, Accident / Incident Investigation, Training & Assessment and the preparation of documents such as: Safety Management Systems (SMS), Risk Registers, Policies, Manuals and Procedures.
