I provided command management and leadership for the day-to-day operations of the Crime Scene Sciences & Evidence Section, which included direct supervision of the activities of 90+ civilian and sworn members; established priorities and strategies; held subordinate managers responsible for executing improvement strategies within the Crime Scene Sciences & Evidence Section; and, managed employee performance, including making hiring/separation recommendations for civilian staff and recommending assignments of commissioned personnel within the Crime Scene Sciences & Evidence Section.An important area of responsibility was the implementation of key initiatives as assigned by the Police Commissioner including identifying process and policy reforms needed to enhance the Crime Scene Sciences & Evidence Section’s effectiveness or efficiency.
