This required Major Modifications, installation and testing of Avionic systems, including HF Radio, VHF, SELCAL, Satcom, SIFF, Missile Warning System (LAIRCM) and more.• Also within the Special Missions team duties included carrying out scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and Major Avionic/Electrical modifications, including installation of a Flat Panel Instrument System on Hawker 125 700 and Fuel Tank Inert system on Bae 146 aircraft. • Ensuring all elements of work are carried out to a high standard and within stringent time constraints, including the completion of detailed paperwork and assisting in ground running of aircraft.
Avionics Engineer
- Working on Seaking Helicopters MK2/MK5/MK6 and Harrier GR7, GR9 and T10 aircraft.-- While working on Joint Force Harriers, my duties where;• Carrying out scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and the supervision of up to 20 avionics personnel, ensuring all maintenance tasks on the aircraft were carried out to a high standard.• Maintaining all health and flight safety measures within the tight time constraints, in order to meet the flying programme requirements and diagnosing fault rectification measures on a complex weapon system. • Responsible for maintaining records and implementing the training of multiskilling for avionics personnel, while carrying out the role of a divisional officer to subordinates. • Training of unqualified trainees, to ensure they reached the correct standard prior to taking there technical exams.- While working on Seaking Helicopters, my duties where;• Unsupervised flight servicing, supervised fault diagnosis and rectification on mainly electrical systems, on the Seaking MK2/MK5 and MK6 helicopter. • Was part of a search and rescue team on the Seaking MK5 helicopter, which provided cover for the south west of England.
