Managed the Boeing Space & Intelligence Systems Ethics and Business Code of Conduct Program. The purpose of this program was to ensure compliance with Company, Customer and Legal requirements. Major responsibilities included: development and administration of a mandated Company-wide Education/Awareness Program, as well as oversight of confidential investigations into a variety of complicated and sensitive issues. Additional responsibilities: effectively publicizing the Business Ethics Program, administration of the Toll Free 800# Hotline, and responding to Ethics inquiries, complaints, and allegations.Served as Special Compliance Officer for the China Consent Agreement, which was signed with the US Department of State in March 2003. On behalf of the State Department, monitored, oversaw, and promoted the Company compliance with the terms of the Consent Agreement and other activities subject to the Arms Export Control Act and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.Also, as past chairman of the Company’s Threat Assessment & Response Committee, oversight of all matters necessitating team involvement or intervention involving acts or threats of violence relating to the workplace.

Assessed and managed sensitive, high profile activities involving issues relating to major movie studios and entertainment figures. Such activities included: vulnerability reduction assessments, management of inappropriate pursuits, negotiations with prosecutors’ offices, hospitals and prisons. Other activities: information resources protection, business disaster recovery planning, and violence in the workplace response and prevention. Supervised six (6) case managers and their associated staffs.

Directed the creation and communication of a comprehensive security program. This program included protection of assets, personnel, facilities, proprietary information, intellectual property, as well as investigations involving issues relative to these matters. Extensive provision of subject matter expertise and services to upper-level management in the analysis of security/risk threat assessments, technology enhancements, and best practices consistent with Company objectives and strategies. Directly supervised staff and contractor employees in both security and non-security capacities.

Directed high-level security inspections/investigations that were instrumental in maintaining security standards and ensuring compliance with company and governmental requirements. Assisted with Company-wide security policy development and implementation as well as with the development of a comprehensive, worldwide Information Resources Protection Plan. Oversight of the analysis and development of GMHE practices/procedures and recommended improvements relating to the safeguarding of classified information, personnel, and property. Developed, organized, and conducted detailed presentations on a variety of subjects to include Continuous Measurable Improvement, Ethics, and Workplace Violence. Numerous foreign assignments/activities.

Conducted personnel and special investigations to support CIA needs. Performed internal and special investigations pertaining to compliance with governmental requirements. Duties included inspections relating to physical structures and storage facilities to ensure appropriate standards were met in regard to the safeguarding and handling of classified information. Other duties included conducting full-scale background investigations and risk assessments, the adjudication of which determined eligibility for special levels of access and clearances.

Investigated complaints of employment discrimination which required knowledge/application of all aspects of equal opportunity (EEO) law. Responsibilities also included analyzing evidence, interpreting facts, and making recommendations to the Regional Director relative to the potential for case litigation.

Performed general legal duties which included legal research, writing legal memorandums, executing title searches and writing trial briefs. Duties also included analyzing both civil and criminal matters to determine merit in relation to pending actions.

Served as security coordinator for the Live Aid Concert. Responsible for the development and implementation of security plans for a number of California business parks. Aided in the survey and evaluation of the security plan for major California banking institutions. Position accepted immediately upon graduation from law school.

Worked in concert with law enforcement on all levels in the development and implementation of a comprehensive security plan for the Olympic Transportation Department. Assisted with the development of the Olympic Security Training Manual and in the actual security officer training. Manager-in-charge of the Olympic In-Transit Security Department which employed over 1,200 security officers and supervisors. Extensive public relations work.

Directly supervised 41 security personnel. Worked with organizations such as the FBI, TBI, Department of State Security, Secret Service and U.S. Marshal’s Service in the implementation of security surveys and executive protection plans for visiting dignitaries. General security planning.
