Claris, once a division of Apple Computers is now FileMaker Inc.In this position on a team of six, I simultaneously tested Macintosh 68k, PPC and Windows versions of Claris “Home Page” 3.0, primarily using "Black Box" testing methods. I evaluated the UI and documented software change requests. I developed test cases and worked with developers in creating case solutions. I reviewed and corrected documentation. We shipped Claris Home Page 3.0 in December '97.Starting in technical support I supported all Claris applications, across all Macintosh and Windows platform versions. In doing so, I documented bug reports and worked closely with SQA to create solutions and work-arounds. I setup and maintained the Novell network for the technical support group with over 90 workstations. I created and managed many of the databases used internally by the technical support team, as well as assist the customer base in the development of their own applications.

Created and maintained a training program for new support analysts. Trained all 30 members of the Q&A & JustWrite support staff. As a result of this focus on training, the customer satisfaction improved from an abandonment rate of 30% to 5-10%. I participated as a senior member in the Alpha and Beta test cycle for Q&A version 4, JustWrite versions 1 & 2 and database applications for the Mac and Windows OS. Conducted Network compatibility tests with NetWare, Lan Manager and several other NOS's. Setup a Network usability lab for training and testing during the product's continued SQA testing cycle.
