How do you take something as boring as PC Antivirus Software and make it exciting? That was my challenge at Bitdefender. Wrote text that appeared globally on: packaging, magazine ads, website, reseller websites (Amazon, etc), social media, sales sheets, press releases, trade show booths.... basically, if the public sees it, I had my finger on it. Additionally, I created and edited social media movies (youtube), as well as wrote radio spots that have run on XM. Was also responsible for creative development (campaigns/themes), design direction, and pre- and post-press proofing of both the text and the design of all packaging. Promoted to the Global team in 2011, where all of my texts are translated and adapted for use for worldwide markets.

Wrote packaging and use and care manuals for Black & Decker Home products. Worked along side of Engineers and Marketing Managers to determine benefits of products and then write POP, Website, Packaging, and other materials used to sell products to and inform customers. Additionally, worked in conjunction with Artists, Photographers and Marketing Managers to ensure all materials are easy to read and concise.

Wrote copy and branded websites for worldwide customers who were seeking to build an effective online presence. Provided creative direction to a team of 10 Web Designers. Created internal advertising for special products within the company. Wrote external communications for the company’s customer base, and assisted the Marketing Department. Performed SEO copywriting and editing to increase website traffic and performance.
