A firm believer in the 80/20 rule, in the six degrees theory upon which LinkedIn seems to have been founded and particularly that man should constantly seek to grow and learn (ref: Cicero's 6 mistakes of mankind).Having had a fairly successful corporate career, I now spend my time mostly with my family but whilst my kids are at school I either work on business ventures, investments, consulting or writing. I still do some professional and 1-2-1 consulting via our online business and lifestyle design consultancy, lifestoogood.net - a website we've had a lot of fun putting together since moving to the countryside in early 2010. The site basically enables me to continue some client work as well as sharing some of our experience both from a business and lifestyle design perspective.Given where we are, I should also mention my book about networking - 'The 3 Secrets to Great Networking' which you can find on Amazon.I enjoy meeting and working with people from all walks of life and believe in the value of good long term relationships.Otherwise I have a wealth of experience as a business consultant having worked at very senior levels primarily in IT but also in operations, in both trusted advisor type roles, as a programme manager and as a function head. I hold all major professional qualifications in Project & Programme Management (PMI, Prince2, Managing Successful Programmes) and several coaching qualifications including NLP Practitioner which still seems to be the only standard one.Believe it or not on my travels I also learned how to be a hypnotist & picked up a qualification - though I never use it (it sometimes makes for interesting conversation at parties though).
