Alan has over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, having nurtured and developed his practice at such firms as Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney, Prudential, and now Lantern. Prior to that, he owned and operated his own business, and therefore, has a keen understanding of the challenges faced by small business owners today. Alan has built his practice servicing the needs of high net worth individuals, family trusts, and small businesses. Alan’s published articles include “Are You Saving Enough” in 1997 for Stethoscope Quarterly and “Professional Investment Management: Making the Right Choice” in 1996 for American Professional Practice Association Quarterly Digest. Additionally, he has spoken at numerous business schools, including New York University and Columbia University’s Investment Societies general meetings. Along with being a contributor in the past to Newsday’s “Ask the Expert” column and a past member of WCBS News Radio 88 Small Business Network. Active in his community, Alan has been a member of the Make A Wish Foundation and currently coaches for the Middle Country Sports Association’s basketball league. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from SUNY/Oswego. Alan resides in Centereach with his wife and three sons.
