What I didI was the lead/sole engineer for Bechtel's Federated Identity Management solution, based on the PingFederate on-premise product. It was my role to not only keep the federation product running, but also to plan and implement future direction for the product and ensure that Bechtel's business needs were being met.How it added value- Reduced risk by driving creation and application of partner security standards. - Reduced operating costs by streamlining procedures on Single Sign-On infrastructure.- Reduced integration costs by aligning proprietary use of open Authentication and Authorization protocols, to industry norms & best practices.

What I didI served as both a TOGAF certified architect, Ping Identity federation engineer, and an IBM certified security product technical lead. As an architect, I lead the way for Marriott to deploy an employee-wide MFA solution based on Entrust's IdentityGuard product. I also played key roles in setting direction for securing Marriott's loyalty program mobile app. I also led the implementation for Marriott's federated identity solution.How it added value- Improved Marriott Rewards user brand loyalty by establishing single sign on between Marriott and trusted partners using SAML 2.- Reduced time to market for Marriott partner initiatives by designing, and streamlining the partner single sign-on process, and also by spearheading the adoption of OAuth 2.- Improved security posture of Marriott, by securing Rewards user and employee data being transmitted to partners.- Improved Marriott Mobile Application Rewards user loyalty by designing and implementing a solution to keep the user signed in on the device.- Reduced operational costs through improved efficiencies in several security areas including Single Sign on, Web Access Management, Directory Server Management.
