• Supporting prisoners to attain Level 1 and Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English.• Promoting the acquisition and development of ‘soft skills’ through the teaching of Humanities based subjects.

• Oversaw the number of students achieving A*-A grades at A-level increase from 31% to 42%. Moreover, the number of AS-level students achieving A*-A increased by 20% during my time as Head of History. • Oversaw the percentage of students achieving A*-B grades at GCSE increase from 77% to 89%. • Responsible for the progress made by all students studying History (KS3, 4 and 5).• Worked hard to promote literacy within students’ study of History.• Tracked the progress of all students and implemented intervention strategies so that all students achieved their best. • Remodelled multiple Key Stage 3 schemes of learning.• Created schemes of learning for the new A-level and GCSE specifications.• Introduced new A-level coursework that better met the needs and interests of students. • Brought History to life through organising multiple on-island school trips as well as three trips to London and one trip to Washington D.C. and Alabama.
