MatrixCare® - a SAS web application for Long Term Care Facilities.Lead developer on Clinical Decision Support team. Implemented Clinical Decision Support processing using Drools rule engine in Java. Lead the integration of a purchased health care platform and the development of a new rules engine in C# and Azure services.Developed a new form engine implementing Responsive Web Design with jQuery and Bootstrap.Created a Continuity of Care Document (CCD) using the HL7 Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (CCDA). Developed a Health Information Exchange module that exchanges CCDs with hospitals systems.Created a data conversion application for migrating new client data from third-party systems that reduced client migration time from months to weeks.Created a new frequency architecture that allows user to schedule administration of medications and treatments. The user interface made heavy use of jQuery and Ajax. Data persistence was done via Hibernate.Migrated build process of MatrixCare and supporting applications from Ant to Maven. Maintained and enhanced utility application written in Groovy/Grails for packaging Java builds and database scripts and then automatically applying those packages to QA environments.

PathLinks® – client-server application written in PowerBuilder for Long Term Care facilities As the primary interface developer, created numerous interfaces with third-party systems using XML and HL7 as well as other simple text formats. Created tool to automate PathLinks builds and maintain history of build versions. This tool used batch files and application APIs to run PVCS, PowerGen, WinZip and Install Shield. These enhancements relieved two persons each spending 4 hours to create a build and package the application. The new process delivered the same output in less than an hour and only required someone to click a button.Created new modules and enhanced existing modules including Admission and Census, Pharmacy Orders, Care Planning, Vital Signs, Point-of-Care, Accounts Payable and Resident Banking.Worked on web-application prototype to replace PathLinks using PowerBuilder and Sybase EAServer.

As a Certified Sybase Instructor, taught introductory and advanced PowerBuilder classes around the country.
