Joining the startup as a founding Director, I have supported the development & growth of vetr's digital business, now established as a national community of educators in the vocational & broader education sectors.Continuing expansion of the product line, vetr now supports over 1,200 organisations and 2,500 practitioners with professional development events, digital short courses & the latest in education compliance resources.

As Founder & Head Designer I established & support the forestec design brand, specialising in the design & creation of innovative, technology-based products from native Tasmanian specialty timbers & other local media.Achieving placement of the initial forestec design range in galleries across Australia, my work has featured in various exhibitions including Think.Make.Change (10 Days on the Island), Flat.Stack.Fold (Hobart & Perth), 'Knock on Wood' & multiple designed:made exhibitions. Collaborations have included work with James Dodson (Tasmanian Glassblowers) & Design Tasmania Camps.forectec design's Tasmanian timber usb drive & freestanding pillar lamps were both named finalists in the Tasmanian Design Awards. A number of pieces have been sold into the US premium market.

As HSE Officer for Fairfax Regional Media Victoria / Tasmania region, I advised management on all health & safety needs, including the coordination & implementation for self-insurance auditing. Reporting directly to the VIC/TAS Manager, I was responsible for managing & implementing all WHS systems & operational needs including project communications with the national auditing team, chairing the WHS Committee, auditing, training & incident investigation. I also successfully coordinated a complex $150,000+ asbestos removal project at a site of 50+ employees under 24/7 operations.

I was engaged as the Property Operations Coordinator & promoted to Work Health & Safety Officer for Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia’s largest regional convention centre (15,000pax venues). I reported directly to the Human Resources (Deputy Director) & Property Operations Key Executives. Advising on & implementing all areas of health & safety, property operations & systems operations, I conducted a full OHS management systems review in preparation for the self-insurance re-accreditation audit, resulting in the implementation of various improvement initiatives. Audit outcomes were achieved including gaining the highest result of the four casino sites audited. My role included representing the GCCEC at Regional Tabcorp OHS meetings & industry meetings, chairing the Health & Safety Committee, coordinating & conducting training, site & systems auditing & incident investigations, & day to day management of health & safety activities.

As Team Leader in Protection and Services for the Queensland Art Gallery / Gallery of Modern Art I was part of a team operating the 10,000pax venues 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. My role undertaken during the construction & opening of GOMA, was to assess & maintain building & asset security, lead & supervise 70 Security & Service personnel. I attended to internal personnel & public daily needs including access, maintenance, VIP functions & significant exhibitions in a professional and discreet manner. I supported Government Asset Protection activities for Brisbane CBD emergency management, site emergency management, site & operations risk review & implementation of contractor management. During this time I was involved in introducing anti-terrorism measures, was WHS Officer, coordinated H&S committee activities and was acting Chief Fire Warden.
