Worked on a small team developing multi-threaded, distributed, server-side software to automate the generation of data based on financial statements. We covered almost the entire universe of public companies worldwide. Evnine and Associates was a multi-strategy quantitative hedge fund that focused on market neutral strategies.Worked with an econo-physicist to develop a new methodology for analyzing a portfolio of mixed security types. Created and populated a database by mapping option data from OptionMetrics and Bloomberg. Produced 6 years of factor models for an evolving set of over 19000 options (S&P 100) per day. Back tested the effect of adding lower volume stocks into our trading universe. Introduced unit testing to C++ with Google Test .Simplified database access for C++ applications with SQLAPI++.Supported traders in dealing with trading and middle office issues as needed.

Iris Financial built trading and middle office systems for many of the largest investment banks around the world. I had key development roles for many of those systems. I worked on Linux, Solaris and Windows client/server systems that were developed in Java and C++.Responsible for developing components for three program trading systems that were deployed at major investment banks. Developed trade capture, real time pricing, compliance reporting and interfaces to execution and back office systems. I was project lead and primary customer contact on two of the projects.Was part of a small team that developed a large middle office system. Developed components that connected to the OASYS Global allocation and confirmation system. Worked on trade flow, allocation, FAX and email generation and F/X. Our team used an agile process to get into production early and get customer feedback. Developed Iris’s graphical user interface builder. It generated C++ Motif classes and increased developer productivity. I added support for Kanji, Katakana and Hiragana.Lead developer and support contact for a fixed income asset management system. It was used at a large investment to manage treasury bonds, emerging market bonds, currency swaps and Brady bonds.

IDE was a company that created graphical software design tools.I was responsible for the graphical user interface and I ported the Sun only user interface to X11 Window System so it would run on over a dozen type of hardware and operating systems. I also led the porting effort to move from K&R C to C++.

Designed and implemented the system architecture of an integrated Computer Aided Engineering system for electronic design. System used message passing via shared memory. Responsible for user interface using X10, the predecessor to the commercial X11 Window System.

Development of APL Interpreter and other interactive systems.Development of in house CAD system for computer and component design.
