As a key member of the Russell McVeagh IS Management Team, the IT Infrastructure Manager is a hands-on technical manager who supports the CIO and contributes substantially to areas such as IS/IT strategy, innovation, customer service, and project delivery.The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the IT Infrastructure Team, which includes Service Desk, Operations, Engineers, and SQL DBA. They develop short, mid, and long-term plans for technology to support business objectives and identify risks, cost savings opportunities, and better use of technology. They also act as Project Manager, Technical Lead, or other roles for IS projects and ensure effective quality control and change management procedures.The IT Infrastructure Manager ensures the systems, applications, and services are reliable, secure, and accessible. They design and implement disaster recovery plans, ensure availability of systems and services, and are responsible for Service Level Management, Quality control, Incident/Problem/Change management. Operational management of IT support team included the creation of KPIs, SLA, work plans, and holding regular one on one coaching and performance development updates with team members. Creating meaningful reports to track the progress of the team was vital to track progress and show the benefits of the changes being implemented. Creation of policies and procedures to help streamline WorldNZ enabling the company to provide a world class service.Discuss the client’s business requirements, audit current systems, assess potential issues, and provide recommendations. Once signoff was achieved; implement appropriate and cost-effective technologies to improve productivity, to reduce costs and satisfy business requirements. Created the code for the base web portal structure and for most of the modules.
