I worked as a self employed software developer. I worked on a project developing the firmware for a laptop computer and a low cost home shopping terminal. I also specialised PC BIOS amendments for hardware such as PC based tills.

MEJ Electronics was a computer design company and my role was to write the firmware for the hardware designs produced by the company. The most famous customer of MEJ was Alan Sugers Amstrad. I was involved in the development of the Amstrad 8256 and 9512 word processors, I wrote the firmware to boot up the computer and that controlled the printer hardware..
