I am responsible for the software development team that develops and maintains the Construction 200 and Construction 50 products.

After the acquision of ATW Computer Services I was responsible for running the business unit within Sage and to intgrate the various departments into Sage.

I founded ATW in 1987, initially as a PC reseller selling PCs and networks and then in the early 1990s developing a job costing and estimating package for the Construction industry called Construct that integrated with the Sage accounting packinge Line 100 and then Sage 50 and Sage 200. Construct soon became the primary focus ATW. In 2003 I sold the company to Sage.

I worked as a self employed software developer. I worked on a project developing the firmware for a laptop computer and a low cost home shopping terminal. I also specialised PC BIOS amendments for hardware such as PC based tills.

MEJ Electronics was a computer design company and my role was to write the firmware for the hardware designs produced by the company. The most famous customer of MEJ was Alan Sugers Amstrad. I was involved in the development of the Amstrad 8256 and 9512 word processors, I wrote the firmware to boot up the computer and that controlled the printer hardware. I also wrote the diagnostics software used to test the computers in the factory. The company also deisgned the first Amstrad PCs and on this project I wrote the BIOS for the PC and all the diagnostics programs used in production.

Data Recall designed and build word processors. I was initially imployed in production and soon gained promotion to the test department whare I tested and fixed circuit boards. I started writing test programs to identify hardware faults and soon moved to the software department to work full time on writing test programs.
