As a first-year AmeriCorps member, tutored and mentored 7th & 8th grade students in an ELA classroom, providing small group literacy, behavior, and attendance interventions. Facilitated after school programming to keep students engaged and learning and planned several school-wide events.As a second-year Senior AmeriCorps member, organized and directed service days at DC-area schools, leading anywhere from 40 to 1300 volunteers in beautification projects including mural painting, landscaping and gardening, construction, and more. Developed and facilitated volunteer projects for local high school students, teaching service learning concepts and helping them to achieve service hour graduation requirements.

Drastically increased membership on OrgSync, the Volunteer Center's social media platform, which allowed CMU students to stay informed and register for service events.
